Kaltrina Berisha graduated from the University of Lausanne in 2022 with a Master's degree in Law and Economics specialized in Tax Law.

After completing an academic internship at the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) in 2022, Kaltrina Berisha worked as a specialist at the SEM. In this position, she dealt with various cases involving the entry, admission and stay of foreign nationals in Switzerland. Her responsibilities included drafting decisions issued by the federal administrative authority, as well as presenting legal positions to federal judicial courts in the context of appeals. 

Alongside her academic studies she also worked as a translator-interpreter for various institutions and courts in the canton of Vaud.
